James completed his doctoral studies at Queen's University in the Mac Lab studying belonging and decision making. Afterward he was a SSHRC funded post doctoral fellow at The Ohio State University working in the Attitudes and Persuasion Lab on various projects relating to attitude extremity and extremism. He is currently expanding the focus of his work on social cognition and influence using a shared reality and social verification framework.
Kira (she/they) is a third-year student at the University of Calgary. She is currently completing a PSYC 499 research project focussing on culture and social comparisons. Kira is a Jason Lang Scholar who hopes to apply for their Honours in Psychology, before proceeding with graduate studies. She is currently focused on exploring the field of research in social psychology. Her areas of interest include cross cultural, queer, and feminism studies.
