Both understanding and being understood are key components of feeling secure. Lacking either of these can lead people to feel isolated and uncertain. This sense of isolation and uncertainty can contribute to a wide range of behavioural outcomes, including biased in information engagement, depreciated well-being, aggression & hostility, polarization, and ideological extremism.
Our primary research goals include understanding how people come to feel separated from others and how to bridge gaps between people enhancing their well-being and understanding of one another.
